Nervous about blogging

Tomorrow, August 1st, 2008, I am going to start with the questions and write each day on one question. I compliled a list of powerful questions to ask myself and my clients during coaching and I am pleased with them. My goal is to test drive them on myself and open myself up to everyone.
However, today, I am a little nervous. I am new to blogging. So I did what I always do – I went to my wonderful public library and checked out all the books I could find on blogging and I love them.
You will soon find out that I am an avid reader. I love learning and I love knowledge. I tend not to move forward until I have all the learning possible under my belt. However, this time with blogging, I just jumped into it. I am still reading my blogging books and I decided I will learn as I go.
That is a huge shift for me. I am proud of myself for that.
I am amazed at how creative people are. I am reading The It Girl’s guide to Blogging with Moxie by Joelle Reeder and Katherine Scoleri. Now, please bear in mind, that I am the type of person that has about twenty volumes of the Dummies series. The library did not have Blogging for Dummies in and that is the only reason it was not my first read on the subject. However, this book is amazing. It is filled with great information, an easy read and each chapter ends with their own creative flair with recipes for Cosmopolitans, favorite hand lotions, etc. I think that is wonderful and creative. I admire non-traditional creativity and I am a big advocate of just having fun and turning work into play.
A good question to ask is how do I turn work into play? Ahh. Good one. I get to add that one on my list.
So how did you get introduced to blogging? Do you have fun with it? What works for you in blogging? How can I be a better blogger?
Let me know.
